Junior High

The Junior High School is the starting point at CITA High School and a new phase for students fresh out of primary school. As is the tradition of the school they are expected to hit the ground running. The junior secondary comprises of three classes JSS1, JSS2 and JSS3. At the completion of Junior High, students are enrolled for the following examinations.

 

  1. Junior School Certificate Examination (Administered by the Rivers State Ministry of Education)

 

  1. NECO Junior School Certificate Examination (Administered by the National Examination Council)

 

  1. Cambridge Checkpoint (Administered by the University of Cambridge International Examinations)
 
The students are prepared for the exams starting from JSS1 which gives them enough time to get all they require to succeed in the exams by the time they get to JSS3. CITA High is also an accredited centre for all three examinations meaning that they get to write these exams in an environment they are comfortable in.
